The growing complexity and frequency of cyber threats demand more than technical proficiency—they require strategic leadership rooted in risk intelligence. This course prepares professionals to build and lead effective cybersecurity risk management programs that safeguard digital assets and ensure organizational continuity.

Course Curriculum
Module 1: Understanding Cybersecurity Risks
This module establishes a comprehensive foundation in identifying, evaluating, and communicating cybersecurity risks. Participants will explore threat landscapes, risk assessment methodologies (qualitative and quantitative), and strategic mitigation planning. Using the Yahoo Data Breaches case study, learners will examine the consequences of ineffective risk posture and learn to evaluate exposure, controls, and communication protocols for leadership and board audiences.
Module 2: Implementing Cybersecurity Risk Management
Focusing on application and leadership, this module guides participants through the execution of cybersecurity risk programs. Topics include risk treatment, incident response planning, business continuity strategies, and risk monitoring. The WannaCry ransomware case study illustrates the vital importance of preparedness, patch management, network segmentation, and cross-functional response. By the end of the module, participants will be able to implement, evaluate, and continuously improve cybersecurity risk operations at scale.
