As threat landscapes grow more complex, Security Operations Centers (SOCs) are vital to enterprise resilience. This course prepares cybersecurity executives, IT leaders, and SOC managers to guide operational performance and long-term strategy within their SOC environments.

Course Curriculum
Module 1: Understanding and Operating a Security Operations Center
Participants explore the essential elements of SOC design, tooling, and incident lifecycle management. Topics include real-time threat detection, SIEM/SOAR platform use, and regulatory reporting requirements. Case studies such as the Target Data Breach (2013) and Azure IAM Incident (2019) provide the foundation for designing scalable SOC architectures, integrating threat intelligence feeds, and mapping response workflows in compliance with governance frameworks.
Module 2: Leading and Evolving a Modern SOC Program
This module focuses on strategic leadership and operational evolution. Participants learn how to manage SOC teams, implement KPIs, and lead cross-functional communication during crises. Case studies like the SolarWinds Attack (2020) and Colonial Pipeline Incident (2021) are used in role-play simulations to develop executive communication, stakeholder management, and cloud-native SOC transformation strategies.
